Class picture day is tomorrow, October 22nd. Order forms are coming home with students today.

Monday October 12th is a teacher inservice day.  There is no school for students on this day.

October 22nd will be Fall Picture Day.  Watch for specific information to come home right before this day in your student’s folder.

October 27th is Fall Conference Day.  Schedules will be sent out about a week in advance.

We did it!  I received an email today that Sonic is funding our project to use mp3 players in the classroom!  I am so exicted for the students that they will be able to use these.  They will use them to listen to reading which will not only model what fluent reading sounds like but will also motivate them to become better readers themselves.  They will also use them to view the podcasts we make this year.  In this way, they will all become each others’ audience in a digital way.  (Don’t worry…we’ll be posting those podcasts to our class page as soon we we make them so you can view them, too!)

Students are bringing home reading logs today.  Please read the attached note and have student read for homework.  Also, students have some writing homework.  This assignment can be done together as explained in the note attached to it.  Thanks!
