Students wrote one note in their planner today.  Also, there is a note coming home with an assignment for you!  Please check both their planner and their folder.  (The assignment for you is on bright orange paper…you can’t miss it!  I think it’s one you’ll enjoy. 😉 )

Here’s this year’s bunch of Surfin’ Second Graders on their first day back!  We had a great day!

Because I am!!! I’m so excited for a new year and to meet my new group of Surfin’ Second Graders!  I hope to see everyone at Meet the Teacher on Thursday, August 23rd, from 4 to 5.

Wow! Look how good we’ve been!

Not only is this Friday our class’ turn to present the CHAMPs assembly, it’s the first CHAMPs assembly this year! Yea, us! Students need to be at school between 7:45 and 7:55 tomorrow and go directly to the stage in the cafeteria when they get here. Parents are welcome to attend. Please wait at the back of the cafeteria for the assembly to start. When you are standing in the top section of the cafeteria, looking at the stage, please sit at the tables to your right. The left-hand section will be for the other 2nd grade classes.

Dear Parents,

Parent conference day is Tuesday, October 25th.  One way for you to sign up for a time will be to visit http://richesone.youcanbook.me.  (Or click the button below).  All you have to do on this site is click on any available time.  Then follow the directions to fill in the appropriate time.  If you choose to sign up this way you should also get an email the day before reminding you of your time.  I encourage you to use this option if you have email/internet available. I look forward to meeting with you all to discuss your student’s strengths and areas for growth.
